so im in between things.
this morning i was washing the dishes, thinking how some mornings i wake up wondering what the hell i am doing with my life and some mornings i wake up and think i am exactly where i want to be. its never halfway though, for some reason.
but anywho. i fell in love with grizzly bear (have been listening to them for two days straight now) and i feel inspired to take in between, lovely and dangerous photos after watching crazy/beautiful & the virgin suicides last night. i want my pictures to look like film stills sometimes.
i was wondering if you have watched any movies that have inspired you? i know there are many amazing ones that i've seen already like alice in wonderland, amelie, pans labyrinth and things along those lines, but i want to see more! suggestions? :)
i am also buying a 35mm holga camera off ebay, i think i'll buy it tomorrow night and start a series of film photos of nothing when it arrives.
anyway, i felt like actually writing something in my blog for once. i never usually have anything insteresting to say, today a little bit included. hopefully tomorrow i'll have some photos for you all, im going to a little music festival! i also still have photos from a peter pan shoot i did the day after this luna park one to upload, i've just been busy.

ReplyDeleteHmmm. Movies that inspire me...I can only think of a few at the moment. V for Vendetta, Atonement, Brokeback Mountain.
ReplyDeleteDonnie Darko, American Beauty & Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously. lovelovelove.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is a good, weird one. Probably better if you've seen/read Hamlet first - though it's not necessary.
ReplyDeleteI like that you put up this picture I really like! =D (It's currently my desktop background...)
that's the strangest thing,i literally just got into grizzly bear a few days ago too! have you seen the two weeks video?
ReplyDeletealmost famous always inspires me. hmm, into the wild is a wonderful film too, really really beautifully shot. oh,and a very long engagement! the girl from amelie is in that, its a really nice story.
(and i know exactly what you mean about it never being half way)
thank you for the suggestions, will have a look at them.
ReplyDeleteand thera: you have awesome taste! eternal sunshine is one of my favourite movies ever and i adore donnie darko!
and dear anonymous, no i haven't seen the two weeks video clip! i rarely like to watch video clips.. but i'll have a look on youtube :)
ReplyDeleteand yes - i forgot about almost famous! awesome movie. apparently the boat that rocked is similar to that as well?
hehe and dave, i can send you a bigger version if you like? i trust you :) the one i uploaded is really tiny. i'll give you a 1000px one.
Aww, I'm special! =D
ReplyDeleteYes please! I like it! I've actually been using your pictures for desktop backgrounds for a while now... My birthday present was one for aaaaaaaggggggggges. =D
Haha, well thanks! Those movies are gorgelicioussss. Also, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain). It' a cliché kinda, but it's still prettypretty. Sorry if it's a weird translation or something, English isn't my first language, haha. But I think I read somewhere that you've already seen it, but that might just be me imagining things.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'll be a kissass and say that I fucking love all of your photos. <3
V for Vendetta - the best!!
ReplyDeleteI absoluty love this one!
